About this image

I am with a group of amateurs on Tivoli from 9/29 to 10/7 to photograph the comet.

With the naked eye the tail length increased from 12 degrees to 20 degrees from Sep 29th to today, the brightness from about 3m to 2m.

The comet delivers a  great show with the naked eye.

Very nice image showing the strong dust tail and the very contorted ion tail. The conditions in Namibia look to be very good. The comet's magnitude is increasing rapidly now as the elongation drops. From your location you should be able to view the dust tail even after the comet's head disappears into the twilight.
