The mag. 17 outer main-belt asteroid (7588) 1992 FJ1, 39 km in diameter, was predicted to occult a mag. 12.7 star in Auriga for up to 2.8 seconds. I was inside the predicted shadow path and recorded a disappearance of 2.30 seconds' duration. (See the GIF).
