About this image

V1413 Aql is a Symbiotic Variable star of type Z And.  In addition to it's intrinsic variations, the system also displays eclipses every 434.1 days.  This observation shows a 31 year light curve of mainly visual observations, with the 2024 eclipse shown in the second plot (all visual observations).  The eclipse lasted 67 days, with mid eclipse occuring on August 20.9 UT (visual).  Ingress 29d and Egress 38d.  The eclipse depth and duration depends on the intrinsic brightness of the variable at the time of eclipse ingress.
