About this image

Jupiter, Ganymede and Io imaged in fair seeing conditions (Ant II - III). Ganymede was approaching occultation and Io was approaching a transit; their movement can be seen in the difference between the two images taken about 6 minutes apart. There is a hint of surface detail on Ganymede.

3000 out of 6000 frames for each image, processed in Autostakkert!3 and Registax.

Incidentally, for anyone who knows the trick of wide-eyed viewing, the two images give a very good 3D effect when the left image is viewed with the left eye and the right one with the right eye.
