Venus night side 22nd February

About this image

Our best effort so far for this apparition with Venus 20.3% illuminated in largely clear skies and Venus very bright. Biggest problem was having to wait until Venus was already down to 14 degrees altitude to dodge a local pine tree's branches.  We were able to capture usable data right down to 9 degrees.  This image is a compilation of all the good data. Beta Regio is the dark spot near the top, the other darker region nearer the middle is Phoebe Regio.
