Title

The lunar domes Arago

About this image

The lunar crater Arago is situated in western Mare Tranquillitatis, northwest of the lava-flooded oval sturture Lamont, which is a mass concentration (mascon) inducing a gravity anomaly. Really you can see wrinkle ridges formed as a result of compressional stress in the lunar crust.Only this? No...two large lunar domes termed Arago alpha and Arago beta are situated and a comparion between two different images is given in this mosaic. In April 3 2025 the lunar terminator is "cutting" Lamont so in the shadow i located Arago crater and the domes.Only this? No...the summit of the dome Arago alpha is illuminated while Arago beta is not. Note the different heights derived by ACT react quick Map: Arago alpha is 330 m while Arago beta is 270 m. Thus the final question is what is the learned lesson?
