About this image

The Dwarf 3 is ideally suited to this wide field target. There are too many galaxies to easily list in this part of the Virgo Cluster.

Nice image, Andy. What sort of mount do you use with the Dwarf?

Thanks Alan. I just use a photographic tripod. A good quality Manfrotto with a standard head that I've had for about 20 years. I set the Dwarf up in Eq mode, usually taking 2-3 minutes to get polar aligned. It does a few quick points, then it tells me how many degrees to move clockwise/anti-clockwise and up/down. I repeat the process until I am within about a degree of the pole, and that is good for 60 second exposures.
