About this image

Taken over 13 nights in April and May 2025 with the SeeStar S50 from bortle 4 skies.

I run the SeeStar S50 in EQ configuration and use Seestar_Alp to schedule the observing runs.

When I first saw a smart telescope I thought it would be nothing but a toy. It does have limitations, the sensor is quite noisy and can leave a chrominance noise pattern which has to be processed out. Having said that if you leave it long enough on a target, it proves itself to be a very capable little instrument.

Processed in Pixinsight.
