About this image

NGC 6765 is a bipolar high excitation planetary nebula in the constellation Lyra. Its distance to earth is estimated at around 4,000 light-years.
It was discovered by Albert Math on June 27, 1864 and first published in the Memoirs of the Royal Astronomical Society, volume 36, page 68.
It is registered as having an angular size of 40".
However this deep image reveals intricate outer structures exceeding 2' 30".
Image captured on my robotic telescopes in Spain.
