About this image
I set my alarm for 04:15am, as clear skies were predicted early on, intending to image Saturn around sunrise and just before, but found myself doubly frustrated, the skies were cloudy for another hour - and on top of that spring growth on a neighbour's tree lined up with where Saturn was at that time!  So after twiddling my thumbs for an hour a clear patch appeared just as Venus also moved clear of local foliage, so the day side of Venus after sunrise became the new target.   After imaging Venus with the IR filter I had intended for Saturn I belatedly remembered it was the wrong filter for Venus but I then accidentally switched to a colour luminance filter when I meant to switch to the 742 nm IR filter.   Eventually it all worked out and I was able to capture Venus in four different wavebands.
