About this image

On the evening of 29-30 June I observed the best display of noctilucent clouds I have seen so far this season. They were quite bright and extensive, with the display going from almost due west round to the northeast. The display was best around midnight but after that it was somewhat hidden by low level clouds. The season seems to have got off to a slow start from the UK so it was nice to finally see a bright display.
