About this image

The gas tail was much more prominent this morning. This timelapse which covers just under two hours consists of 10 minute stacks. Motion is visible with material flowing away from the head entrained in the solar wind.

I get a total magnitude of 7.7 this morning (Sept 24.2) using comphot.
