Title

Spin of asteroid Victoria

About this image

It was impressive to actually "see" the spin of an asteroid via its light curve, obviously because asteroids are irregular non-spherical shapes.

The rotation period for asteroid (12) Victoria is 8.6hrs, I took only 2.4hrs length of exposures, hence the curve shows part of the orbital change in brightness. I believe you can merge observations on various nights to produce the full light curve.
