About this image

This image was taken with the portable setup that I use for travel (a Redcat 51, ASI2600MC on an AM-3) but this time, from my back garden. The field of view is 5.4 x 3.6 deg and the ion tail is still going strong when it leaves the field. The dust tail is detectable for around 2 deg, certainly past the reddish star rho Boo.

The comet and its tail are visible on my UK004G meteor camera. This is a stack of 160s of video taken at the same time as the above image. The lens is 6mm FL, f/0.95 so around 6mm aperture.
