About this image

This has been a tricky image to process, captured in the early evening with the rings nearly completely edge on and a faint Dione to pick out carefully just above the rings. The curve of the ring shadow on Saturn causes the dark effect on either side of Saturn as if a small chunk is missing. Not helped by difficult seeing conditions.
