Another photograph from Alan Heath's collection, of the 12 inch reflector of Rev T E R Phillips when in use at Headley; BAA instrument 93. Alan must have taken this photograph of another photograph, but I've not found the original anywhere. Bob Marriott wrote about the instrument in I&I in 2006: https://britastro.org/iandi/instrument-93.htm

Alan had the instrument in his home observatory from 1963 until 1997. I remember him telling me how heavy it all was and how difficult it was to install in 1963. There is no indication of when the original photograph was taken, or when Alan took this photograph.
