About this image

While revisiting this deep-sky subject—which I had previously processed last year—this time with a significantly wider field of view thanks to my new equipment, my attention was drawn to a faint 'puff' among the stars. I had completely overlooked the fact that situated near the NGC 2264 nebula lies Hubble's Variable Nebula (NGC 2261)
