That's really great!  What's more you stayed at home, got some excellent results and didn't dump loads more CO2 in the atmosphere to get yet another ordinary eclipse photo...

Philip, sdpectacular animation. Well done. How did you manage to stabalise the Sun so well? All my attempts result in a wildly moving Sun. 

Hi, I see you have put up an  H Alpha animation up and the Sun looks pretty steady to me! However I wrote my own alignment algorithm based on edge detection methods. If you want to know more please contact me. 

Thanks Philip. My own is just 20 frames or so, so was easy to manually align them. I clicked the wrong button in Firecapture and rather than taking video of the eclipse, it was taking stills at about 50fps so I seem to have accidentally ended up with a quarter of a million subs lol! I don't fancy manually aligning those. I just picked out 20 evenly spaced ones for a quick timelapse. I'm not good at coding, so I'll stick with commercially available software for now, but appreciate your help.
