Thought it was worth a quick look at the nova in Aquila before moving on to Nova Sagittae (results to follow).

Taken in twilight it was a struggle to get anything as the nova has faded considerably since my other spectrum on 12th July. Now only H alpha and a weak oxygen emission line remain on a very faint continuum. The V-mag is quoted as 15.8(!) with R-mag nearer 13.

The field of view is 33 x 23 arc minutes with north right.

Taken in twilight so I could get to Nova Sge before it went behind a tree...!
