Tony Morris
My main interest is deep sky imaging with a DSLR (self modified, IR filter removal) using various lenses or telescopes. I dabble in other aspects of imaging both planetary, lunar and solar. I have also chased a small number of total solar eclipses after sitting on a beach under a cloudy sky in Cornwall during 1999.
I have visited a number of professional optical and radio observatories around the world and have been fortunate to observe from some truly dark sites.
I can often be found at the Deep Sky meetings or sometimes assisting on the BAA sales stand .
My local society is Mexborough & Swinton where I am currently the curator of instruments and observatory, which means I cut the observatory grass in the summer and try to keep our gear working in the colder months!
