VOYAGER COLOUR MAPS (BJORN JONSSON)

This page will host colour maps of Jupiter created by Björn Jónsson, from images taken by NASA’s Voyager spacecraft in 1979. They have far higher resolution than any previous colour maps from Voyager images. They have already been posted, with full details of the methods, on Björn’s personal page , and we are happy to provide a backup of them here.
These hi-res imaging sequences by Voyager used only orange and violet filters, so in the maps, R,G,B = orange, (synthetic green), violet.
