Lunar Section Circular – April 2026

We are publishing a little less polished than usual to get this out in time before the first scheduled launch window of Artemis-I – see p3-4. The astronauts will be doing some visual observing of the Moon, primarily monitoring for lunar impact flashes. Of secondary importance they will be looking out the window observing craters. So there are some suggestions on how you can observe simultaneously written up in the circular. Please note that this  is primarily an engineering mission, and telescopic impact flash observation is not especially favorable for earth-based observers unless the launch gets  delayed a few days.
