Stargazing with the British Astronomical Association

Amateur astronomy can often seem to be confusing and technically complex, but there is tremendous enjoyment to be had exploring the heavens above. And what's more, many people enjoy amateur astronomy without access to dedicated equipment.

The British Astronomical Association (BAA) is the UK's premier organisation for the amateur observer; we have created this micro-site to help you get out and explore the night sky. We have selected a range of articles that give useful information, hints and tips, and also created some observational challenges for all levels of experience.

These pages are an evolving resource, so check back from time to time, to see what's new.
