BAA Exhibition Meeting

This year’s Exhibition took place at Manchester Metropolitan University, and was opened by the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Naeem ul Hassan, JP.

With thirty-one exhibits (BAA, local societies, and trade stands), fifteen short talks by Section Directors and representatives, several groups taking the opportunity to visit the Godlee Observatory, and the lecture by Sir Arnold Wolfendale, exhibitors and numerous visitors were busy throughout the entire day.

Advertising for the event included an announcement by BBC Radio Manchester, and after the appearance of a camera crew, visitors in the afternoon included local people who had seen the Exhibition on television.
