Occultation of Mars by the Moon

The Moon will pass in front of Mars.
The pair will visible in the west in the evening sky. At the moment of closest approach, the Moon will be at mag -11.9, and Mars at mag -0.4, both in the constellation Virgo.
At closest approach, the pair will be close enough to fit comfortably within the field of view of a telescope, but will also be visible to the naked eye or a through pair of binoculars.
