Find out more about the BAA
The BAA was formed in 1890 and is the premier society for observational astronomers in the UK.
Please have a look round our website, especially the Forums and Members Pages which will give a flavour of the variety of things BAA members do.
The BAA Sections have Section Directors who support observers in the various fields of observational astronomy, and we cover all areas – they are there to help members with enquiries about practical observing, and also collect and collate observations for the observational record of the Association. You can contact the Directors by visiting their webpages and choosing the Contact form.
And if you would like to join the BAA we have a special offer on at the moment – 18 months membership for the price of 12. Do come and join us – we’d love to have you!
