I’ve just been made aware of another bit of Google evilness and followed the instructions at
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-google-chrome-software-reporter-tool
as I use Chrome on the TCS. Other Windows users may wish to consider doing likewise.
Linux and (perhaps) MacOS systems are immune to this particular infestation. It’s the privacy implications which I find especially objectionable, but slugging a real-time control system is really not the done thing IMO.
