Tried to get a spectrum of 4P Faye the other night (20210907 ALPY 600 60min raw negative image) but it is rather faint. It is dominated by the sunlight scattered from the dust with no obvious signs of emission (I see though that Martin Mobberley’s recent image has a hint of green)
That’s a very impressive spectrum given that the current total magnitude of 4P is about 12. It is one of the brighter comets around at the moment and definitely worth following although it is a morning object. Current images are here.
