I like the price (£4.4s with a 12/6 deposit, or for our younger members £4.20p and 63p – I think :-).In JBAA Vol. 77 No. 4 page 264 (June 1967) you will find the write up to the first meeting. Fifty six "students" attended, and with an assortment of telescopes from a 2.5 inch to 8.5 inch reflectors managed to observe theMoon, Jupiter and Mars through breaks in the cloud, and a sun spot projected with a 3 inch OG. Lecturers were Howard Miles, J. Hedley Robinson, Michael Hendry and Alfred Cuirtis. Not a bad speaker list I’d say!Gary
