ESA’s NEO Coordination Centre (NEOCC) which monitors the risks from near-Earth asteroids and comets has announced:

“NEOCC has just finished the implementation of a service for the VESPA portal. VESPA (Virtual European Solar and Planetary Access) is a Europlanet activity which connects planetary science data providers to allow easy access, interoperability and cross-correlation of databases.”

Note that its ‘CSA – Comet Image Archive’ links to the BAA Comet Section’s Image Archive.

Alex – Thanks for pointing that out. My thanks to Helen Usher who worked with the VESPA team to help them link to our comet image archive. This will certainly make amateur images of comets more visible to the professionals.
