In this study, a dome in the crater Yangelʹ named Ya1 is examined, having been previously identified by the authors (Lena & Fitz-Gerald, 2014) using Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera WAC and NAC images, Clementine multispectral data, Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter digital elevation models, the Moon Mineralogy Mapper on board Chandrayaan-1, and the Multiband Imager instrument on SELENE. In the current study we derive the mineralogical composition, which indicates that the pyroclastic deposit of Ya1 is characterised by greater content of high-Ca pyroxene, FeO, and TiO2 compared with nearby units. Hence, the described deposit has high ilmenite (FeTiO3) content, with a TiO2 abundance of 6.0–8.5 wt %.
