The Comet’s Path 1807

Bonham’s auctioneers occasionally email me when astronomical items come up for sale. They are holding an auction of scientific books on November 19th, featuring several astronomical works.

Bonham’s thought I might be interested in the “The Comet’s Path 1807” (I am interested, but not in buying it!). It’s a chart of the path comet C/1807 R1, the great comet of 1807, drawn by “S.G.” who the auctioneers suggest might be Stephen Groombridge.

I note there are also astronomical works by Jacques Cassini and Christian Huygens in the auction, plus religious tracts by Isaac Newton.
