η–Aquarid meteor shower

The η–Aquarid meteor shower will reach its maximum rate of activity. Some meteors will be visible each night from 24 Apr to 20 May, but the best show will be expected on or around 6 May 2013. The maximum number of meteors expected to be visible from a dark location is around 40 per hour (ZHR). The Moon will be 26 days old at the time of peak activity, and so will present minimal interference.
