2014 Jul 28

The δ–Aquarid meteor shower will reach its maximum rate of activity.

Some shooting stars will be visible each night from 15 Jul to 20 Aug, but the best show will be expected on or around 29 July 2014.

The maximum number of meteors expected to be visible from a dark location is around 20 per hour (ZHR). The Moon will be 3 days old at the time of peak activity, and so will present minimal interference.

The radiant of the δ–Aquarid meteor shower is at around right ascension 22h26m16s , declination -17°00’00” .
