Moon at Last Quarter

Wednesday 15th Oct 201418:13

The Moon will reach last quarter – roughly a week after passing full moon and a week before it will reach new moon. At this point in its monthly cycle of phases, it is only visible late in the night and in the pre-dawn and early morning sky.

At this time the Moon will lie at a declination of +16°23′ in the constellation Gemini, and so will appear highest in the northern hemisphere. It will be visible from all latitudes south of 63°S.
