Total lunar eclipse

Wednesday 8th Oct 201409:52

This Wednesday, a total eclipse of the Moon will be visible from Australia and East Asia in the evening sky and North America in the pre-dawn morning sky. Unfortunately, the eclipse will not be visible from the UK, since the Moon will be beneath the horizon throughout.

Totality will last for 59 minutes, and the partial phases for the eclipse from 09:14 until 12:34 UTC.
