Yes, a Star Analyser seems to be the first step everyone takes. It mounts as an eyepiece filter would.
I don’t have one but….
I have a new 1″ Thorlabs 4* wedge prism (and mounting ring) that can be placed in front of the Star Analyser to improve resolution. The Star Analyser variant usually retails at £46 plus £8+ for the mount. I’ll probably ask half. I’m not sure that you need this until you have some experience with the ‘simple’ Star Analyser first.
I haven’t used this configuration but I’m sure other more experienced members can advise. Email/PM if you need to chat.
