I’ve been to see Alan Heath today and helped him set up his telescope out the front of the house so he could count sunspots for Lyn. He hates to have an incomplete record.
He dropped his 1″ eyepiece and is using a 10mm one and would ideally like to see the whole disc of the Sun again, so I said I’d try and find him a 1″ (25mm) RAS thread eyepiece. He uses a Herschel wedge and also a dimming filter which screws on the top of the eyepiece, so it needs to be threaded on both ends.
If anyone has one to sell, please let me know.
