I am donating my photometer to AAVSO and a representative is willing to pick it up from ASE conference in Northampton from January 7-9, 2027
It would involve me posting it to your address and you delivering it to the recipient who is attending the conference.I should add that AAVSO have tried to find somebody to take it in UK with no luck.
I have tried with 3 different couriers to deliver it to The Netherlands with no success surprisingly.

Not sure where you are based, but from UK shipping to Netherlands is straightforward.
Though it will need a standard customs declaration.
Parcel2go.com brought up any number of possible shippers.
Royal Mail is part of a group that has its central hub for Europe in the Netherlands!

Royal mail was a disaster from start to finish. They first said they couldn’t deliver it then contracted to DHL who returned it to me
with no explanation. Royal mail admitted mistakes and compensated me.
I then looked at UPS as they were recommended.
I struggled to find my way through the online paperwork. They were asking for amongst other things:
OSS VAT registration
Proof of ID of recipient
I have had enough stress with it and am now trying a simpler method.
