Mallorca is not a good place to see the Next total solar Eclipse, Sun is too low over the Horizon in the moment of totality. Better to be in the Iberian Peninsula, in the northwestern part of Spain.
I agree the sun will be higher in the sky in that region but isn’t there an increased risk of cloud at the time of the eclipse there? Mallorca does have some mountain vantage points and the opportunity to go out by boat if you can afford it (400 euros?). With the sun dipping into the sea it could be a spectacular view. No matter where people try to see it I’m sure they will enjoy the experience and if they don’t get to see totality at least they only have 12 months to wait until the next opportunity.
