    The second edition of this lovely Messier book is available for £25 which seems too good to be true…

    How does it compare with (my much older) ‘Deep-Sky Companions: The Messier Objects’ by Stephen James O’Meara

    I think the main difference is the book is much bigger and there is slightly more text per object, and the biggest difference is the number of large, full colour images. I’m not sure how they’ve managed to print and post this book for £25.
