Hooked on Astronomy since getting "I-Spy The Sky" at about 10 years old. Joined JAS (now SPA) and Liverpool AS. Assistant to the JAS Meteor Section Director (Robert MacNaught) in early 1970's. Binocular variable star observer though no longer active, but hoping to get into DSLR photometry. Current interest is deep sky imaging with Altair Astro 115mm triplet, unbranded 70ED, EQ6 and Atik 490ex camera. Built a run-off roof observatory in summer 2016. Founder of www.astrospeakers.org.
