Short paper: Perigee lunar eclipses
2016 November 21
The total lunar eclipse of 2015 September 28 occurred close to the passage of the Moon through the perigee of its orbit. The instants in the uniform timescale of Dynamical Time were: maximum of eclipse 02:48:17, perigee 01:46:37, resulting in a time difference of 61 minutes 40 seconds. This prompted us to search for cases with even smaller differences between eclipse maximum and perigee.
