Neptune Observations 2021-2022
Introduction
During this apparition, Neptune is at opposition on 2022 September 16. Some of the observations received are shown in the Neptune Gallery for this apparition.
2021 September
On September 5, Mattia Picolli imaged the planet showing a featureless disk.
On September 12 at 21:54 UT, Luigi Morrone captured Triton and a large irregular bright area in the southern half of the planet’s disk, using r and IR filters.
2021 August
On August 31 observing visually, Paul Abel recorded a featureless disk and Triton.
