Venus through the eyepiece, nearing conjunction.

About this image

The sky was blue with passing cloud. I found Venus (phase 1.6%) in the eyepiece (via GOTO) but needed a polorising filter to reduce the sky brightness. It seemed unnecessary to set up a web cam when my mobile phone was to hand. So this is a single frame, the best out of 6 shots through the eyepiece hand held.
