18 Melpomene positive occultation

About this image

This was my second positive asteroid occultation for this year and involved the asteroid (18) Melpomene. I could see it slowly merge with the target star on the laptop monitor until it covered the star for 4.5 seconds, causing a slight but noticeable dimming. Attached is the resulting light curve.
