About this image

The mag 13.5 33km diameter asteroid (295) Theresia was predicted to occult the mag 10.8 star TYC 1845-02748-1 on 2018 January 6 for up to 5.7 seconds. My observatory was within the predicted shadow zone.

The predicted probability of success was 55% and I recorded an occultation duration of 3.76s and the times of disappearance and reappearance were:-

D 18:45:52.16

R 18:45:55.92

The attached plot shows the analysis of the light curve using Tangra and AOTA software.
