About this image

The reference (see below) indicated the area North of the Rosette contained a supernova remnant.  I obtained this image which contains a roughly circular but faint H-II region between the Rosette and Cone Nebula.  The paper discussing this object has deep images which seems to confirm my detection. The original images in 1977 were in a 1.5 Hr exposure.  Transparency here was good with SQM-L 20.2 (Zenith).

Processing was with DSS, and the FITS image adjusted in AstroArt5, with final stretch in PS CS2.
