Supernova 2018pv and NGC 3941

About this image

Type 1A supernova 2018pv was first spotted on 3/2/2018 and on 10/2/2018 observed at an estimated magnitude 12.7.  I imaged it for the first time at around midnight between 11/2/2018 and 12/2/2018.  It is now visibly brighter than both its parent galaxy NGC 3941 and the nearest star in the field of view from our galaxy which is magnitude 10.94.
