About this image

Venus was imaged first using a UV pass filter and RGB filters then Mercury just before full daylight using an infrared pass filter as well as RGB filters. My first opportunity to point my new main telescope - a 14inch f/10 LX200 OTA - at these planets. I was hoping to be able to pick out some cloud features on Venus but the atmosphere wasn't quite steady enough to be able to get a detailed UV image.
